Plettenberg Bay Representative
My introduction to The Click Foundation is probably somewhat different to the other members of this wonderful community.I enjoyed a busy and fruitful life in Johannesburg, where I was a fulltime Mom to 3. I am in the autumn of my life and after a busy and enjoyed a fruitful life in Johannesburg where I was a fulltime Mom to 3 special children. I was in a fortunate position and never took this for granted. For the past 25 years I have been actively involved in a charity group that has focused primarily on raising funds for education and the upliftment of underprivileged children in South Africa.
My husband retired 3 years ago and we moved to Plettenberg Bay, I found myself with too much time on my hands and felt that I needed a purpose to my life in Plett. When I heard that The Click Foundation were looking to launch Reading Eggs in Plettenberg Bay , I immediately knew that it was the perfect vehicle for me to get involved in a community that was dear to my heart. Although in the greater scale of things Plett is very small, it is an ideal opportunity to touch people’s hearts and to make a tangible difference.
MY WISH FOR A FUTURE SOUTH AFRICA: For everyone to live in harmony and to be accepting of all our differences and beliefs. And for the country to reach its true potential.
