According to my Mom, I was born on a very cold and rainy winter`s day on the 18 August 1985. I grew up in Stellenbosch and lived there for 20 years. We as a family moved back to our Home-town Kylemore, which is a quaint village nestled at the foot of the Simonsberg. I studied Early Childhood Development in 2005 and commenced as a Teacher in 2007 at a Local Crèche.
I became a Principal at a crèche in Pniel and enjoyed working with the children and the community. I truly enjoyed the challenge as Principal, Teacher, Mother and Wife. Perhaps the most satisfying and amazing aspect were how children can always teach us about the small but important things in life. There is never a dull moment with children in their developmental stages. I feel particularly Blessed for the wonderful opportunity at Click Foundation as from July 2017, hopefully I can make a difference in the children‘s development through Technology.
My wish for the future of South Africa, “That memory should be used not as a means to keep us shackled to the past in a negative manner, but rather as a joyous reminder of how far we have come and how we have achieved.”
If I had an extra hour a day, I would take a relaxing walk in our mountains and look at all the beautiful creations of God`s hands.
Wise words I would hand down to the next generation, My mission in life is not merely to survive but to thrive, and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style.
The person I admire the most, is my late Mother, she was the real pillar in my life. She taught me how to treat everybody as equals and never to look down on people. She further through example, taught me to be a wonderful Mother and Wife to my family. My Father and Husband inspires me with the motto “Never to give up and to follow my dreams”
My Family – I am married and have two cute boys,
Hobbies – Time quite limited though but do enjoy dancing and socializing with friends and family
