Lodrick Ndlovu

Regional Manager

I started in the Rustenburg Turfontein mine as a Safety Representative. My responsibility was to make sure that my team was always safe when on duty.

I went on to join another company where I worked as a safety officer in the Kruger Park. My job was to search everything that was going in and out of the Park, and to make sure that poaching did not take place. I subsequently joined a fire fighting company where I was working as a firefighter and assisting on Emergency Rescue. I returned to the security industry and worked at Eastgate Airport where I also assisted with flight services.

I followed a dream to work with children and completed a contract as a research assistant at The Young Carers Project SA, a programme in Mpumalanga, in conjunction with Oxford University. I then completely changed my profession and  trained and worked as a financial adviser with Old Mutual.

I was given the opportunity to take on this new role with The Click Foundation and I am extremely excited to be working directly with children again.  I have 2 young boys and love wildlife and nature.

If you could do one thing to change the world stop Child and Woman Abuse.

My wish for the future South Africa is to be United and Stop Corruption.

If I had an Extra hour a day I would help the Orphans with their school work.

Wise words I would hand down to the next generation: Education First.

My favorite things are Soccer And Reading.

The person I admire most is  Carrene Paiken, she saw my potential when I was working as a security guard and has helped me to grow and develop.

The one place would love to visit and why-Swaziland. Because I want to know more about their culture and customs.
